Optional Add-Ins (per bag):
-
Use a large skillet over medium heat to brown the beef until no longer pink, about 5 to 6 minutes.
-
Add the taco seasoning & water to the skillet and cook until thickened about 2 to 4 minutes.
-
While keeping the Doritos inside the bag, gently crush them until the chips are slightly broken.
-
Add a heaping ¼ cup of taco meat to each bag. Layer desired toppings directly into the bag of chips.
-
Toss the ingredients with a fork until well combined.
- This serves 6 and can be doubled or tripled if needed. Make sure to calculate to have at least ¼ cup of seasoned meat for each serving.
- Use any flavor of chips, we love Cool Ranch Doritos or Nacho Cheese Doritos.
- Meat can be prepared ahead of time and kept warm in a slow cooker.
- Use your favorite flavor of Doritos, Fritos, corn chips, or other tortilla chips to your liking.
- The add-ins are optional so that each walking taco can be personalized.
